Why are we whispering

Each dropped his voice to a whisper and, looking around to make sure no one would overhear, said, "Thank you for saying that.".......

21 Grams

Whether you regard the Oscar-nominated 21 Grams as an audacious work of art or a maddening exercise in cinematic pretension, one thing is certain: you won't forget it. The English-language film debut of acclaimed Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Amores Perros), 21 Grams is an emotionally raw and intellectually challenging meditation on loss and redemption. Using a nonlinear approach to narrative reminiscent of French new wave auteurs Jean-Luc Godard and Alain Resnais, Inarritu cuts back and forth between the past, present, and future to tell the story of three strangers united by tragedy

music: Gustavo A. Santaolalla (b. 1952) is an Argentine musician, film composer and producer whose musical style frequently combines elements of rock, soul, African rhythms and Latin American folk. His work has won him two Academy Awards.

Richard Sidey

The primary objective was to offer new perspectives of time that we experience everyday. Secondary objectives included creating a multi-narrative experimental documentary, revealing elements of design through time manipulation and deriving a personal touch by involving locations around Wellington

Bio.Rhythm - Kevin Klauber

"Bio.Rhythm is a six minute experimental film that examines the rhythms of this world. Our world is composed of a network of elaborate systems; in this case, these systems are expressed through sounds, which create rhythms, composing a "soundtrack" to these systems. The film was nominated by the Motion Picture Sound Editors Association (MPSE) for a "Golden Reel Award" in 2007. If you would like a DVD or higher quality download, please email me at kevin.klauber@usc.edu - Enjoy"

360 - Kyle Hopkins

"360 is a six minute montage of moving images and sounds from around the world, set to music. The images and sounds for 360 were recorded using a consumer DV cam-corder, a stereo mic and a minidisk recorder and it was edited at home on a laptop. If you would like a free DVD or download for any software or hardware media player, or you would like to contact the film-maker, please email hopkinskyle@yahoo.co.uk. Hope you like it. Cheers!"

Bella - the movie

Director Alejandro Monteverde's new film, Bella is a movie that is going to be much talked about in pro-life, pro-family circles. This film has swept even the secular film world off its feet. Major producers however, are still hesitant to support anything that is not "mainstream." Please do what you can to promote this film and its pro-life message.

Metanoia Media

Metanoia Media began its work in 1993 by documenting the often untold stories of the Church in Africa with its diverse cultures. Today the small production company has evolved into a multimedia hub from which various visual and aural arts blend to create thought provoking documentaries. It's founder, Norman Servais, developed skills and disciplines in various aspects of pre through post production. In 2004 the production house began filming and producing predominantly in High Definition for the sake of emulating "the film look". The shift to HD as its default platform was a turning point for the company and it opened new vistas. Now, with greater realism Metanoia seeks to capture beautiful images that tell stories and mirror the divine, stories which inspires hearts and minds to the eternal.

Hyperlink Cinema

Hyperlink cinema is a term coined by author Alissa Quart, who used the term in her review of the film Happy Endings for Film Comment.[1] Noted film critic Roger Ebert subsequently popularized the term when reviewing the film Syriana.[2] These films are not hypermedia and do not have actual hyperlinks, but are multilinear in a more metaphorical sense.

Hyperlink movies are films following multiple story lines and multiple characters. These story arcs and characters intersect obliquely and subtly. Events in one story arc affect other story lines or characters, often in ways that the characters are unaware of or do not fully understand. Hyperlink cinema is often characterized by globe-spanning locations, multiple languages, and frequent though unannounced use of flashback and flashforward.
